How to Merge PDFs Without Uploading Them, and How to Check That Nothing Was Sent

Contracts, quotes, internal reports. You just want one PDF, but uploading the files to a stranger's server feels wrong.

InYourHand tools never upload your files. Everything runs inside your browser. This article walks through Merge PDF step by step and shows how you can check for yourself that nothing is sent.

Steps to merge PDFs

  1. Open Merge PDF
  2. Press "Choose files (multiple OK)" or drop your PDFs onto the page. You can pick two or more at once
  3. Check the order. Drag a thumbnail to move it
  4. Press "Merge PDFs"
  5. Press "Save" to store the merged PDF on your device

No sign-up and no login.

Check for yourself that nothing is sent

Saying "we don't upload" is not proof. Anyone can check it with the browser's developer tools.

  1. On the Merge PDF page, press F12 (Command+Option+I on a Mac) to open the developer tools
  2. Select the "Network" tab and clear the list (the 🚫 icon)
  3. Choose your PDFs, press "Merge PDFs" and save the result
  4. Confirm that no request carrying your PDF appears in the Network list

The counter in the lower-left corner of the page also shows how much data has been sent to a server.

Measured results

On 12 October 2026 we merged two 20-page PDFs (18.8 KB each) three times in a Chromium-based browser on a Windows 11 PC.

Run From "Merge PDFs" to done Merged file Sent after choosing files
1 2.24 s 35 KB (40 pages) 0 bytes, 0 requests
2 2.18 s 35 KB (40 pages) 0 bytes, 0 requests
3 2.18 s 35 KB (40 pages) 0 bytes, 0 requests

Sent data was counted by the page's own meter, the same value shown in the lower-left corner. Timing depends on your device and the number of pages.

Tools to use after merging

Like every InYourHand tool, your files never leave your device.
